UNDERSTANDING THE CHANGES of the 2002 MICHIGAN ELECTRICAL CODE
Every time an NEC® is adopted, what's new in the Code becomes the number-one topic among contractors, installers, designers, and engineers - plus the enforcers charged with verifying the jobs. With the 2002 Michigan Electrical code update class, you'll improve your understanding of MEC including Part 8 changes and boost your ability to apply and discuss the Code!

Nearly 5,000 changes were proposed for the 2002 NEC ®! Over 100 of them will have a significant impact on designing, installing, and inspecting electrical systems.

Knowledge and practical application of the National Electrical Code® is an essential part of all electrical installations. If it's important for you to understand the National Electrical Code®, then you should take this update class.
This class focuses on the changes to the 2002 Michigan Electrical Code including Part 8 on October 9th and October 16th. Just 16 hours will include all the information you need to renew your electrical license for 2006.

Who Is Your Instructor
Jerry Pensler, he is a well-known authority in the electrical field. Jerry is a registered Electrical Inspector and Electrical Plan Reviewer Electrical Estimator and Master Electrician. He has over 18 years of experience as an electrical inspector and over 25 years experience in the electrical field. He also has extensive experience as an electrical superintendent, electrical estimator, electrical cost manager, and a project manager. Jerry also teaches the Fundamentals of Electrical Estimating/Project Management at Davenport University and has also taught at the I.B.E.W. in Columbus, Ohio.

What the State of Michigan Requires
The State of Michigan requires that all Journeymen and Master Electricians do 15 hours of continuing education on the code changes for each code cycle. This 15 hour class will give you the required continuous education needed for your license renewal. This class is a must for all engineers who work in this field, design professionals, and all facilities management personnel.

Electrical Inspectors
All registered electrical inspectors will also receive educational credits for Act 54.

Cost of the Class and Books
Cost for the class is $150.00. Class begins at 8:00 am on both Saturday’s and will finish at 5:00 p.m. This includes breaks throughout the day and lunch for both days. Illustrated Changes to the NEC® 2002 Edition will be available for a pass through price of $44.00. This book is a must for all electricians and professionals.

What You Will Learn
You will learn the most significant changes to the 2002 Michigan Electrical Code including Electrical Code Rules Part 8, incorporating the 2002 Edition of the National Electrical Code®. This will help you learn how to find the changes quickly in the code by color-coding the changes.

What to Bring to Class
